Lynda O'Byrne Randall named 2017 Grand Marshal

The York Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee is pleased to announce that Lynda O’Byrne Randall will be the Grand Marshal of the 34th Annual York Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, to be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, along Market Street in downtown York.

Lynda O’Byrne Randall is a partner and co-owner of New Level Advisors LLC, a management consulting company. Her passion is transforming workplace cultures through leadership, team work, strategic planning and executive coaching. Lynda is an experienced trainer, public speaker, and facilitator.

Lynda has extensive experience in developing and implementing programs for non-profit organizations. She has a M.Ed. and teaching and training experience in positions including York College of Pennsylvania, Family Child Resources, and Director of Adult Education at Junior Achievement. Lynda founded and served as Director of the Women’s Business Center Organization of The J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship at York College from 2007-2014.

Lynda is a 2010 Athena Award recipient and received a 2012 Women of Influence Award from the Central Penn Business Journal. She also received the Gold Award from the International Association of Facilitators for co-creating Business and Education Roundtables for the York County Economic Alliance and an MS Leadership Award. Her past and present community service includes: Board Director for the YWCA; Byrnes Health Education Center Advisory Board and Board of Directors; Athena Chairman; Creative York Board of Directors; Creative York Arts Awards Co-chair; Mentor for Leadership York and York College; YCEA Board of Directors; York County Library System Board of Directors; Governance Committee Strand-Capitol; WBCO Advisory Council; Junior League Community Advisory Board; Central York School District Business Advisory Board; J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship Advisory Council.

Lynda has resided in Springettsbury Township with her husband, Richard Randall (half Irish), since 1980.  They have two daughters.  Julie Randall resides in York and is the Communications Director for CYSD. Her two children are Thomas (11) and Ava (8.) Lauren Randall Buckley, an attorney, is married to John Buckley (full Irish) and lives in McLean, VA.  The Buckleys have three children: Arden (6), Madeline (3), and Jack (4 months).

Thomas O’Byrne, Lynda’s father, was a proud Irishman to the core. He passed on to his children and grandchildren a love of Irish music, story-telling, love of and loyalty to family, and a sense of humor in all matters. St. Patrick’s Day was a national holiday in the O’Byrne household with music, singing, and dancing.  Everyone who heard Tom O’Byrne singing Danny Boy at the Naval Officers Club in Mechanicsburg every St. Patrick’s Day was extremely moved.

Order your 2017 parade t-shirt today

One of the ways we raise money to put on the York Saint Patrick's Day Parade each year is to sell commemorative t-shirts.

Shirts are $13 if ordered by February 11 (shirts not ordered in advance will be $15).

To guarantee that a shirt is reserved for you in your desired size, please send a check payable to the York Saint Patrick’s Day Parade by February 11, 2017, with the order form.  Requests for sizes after that date will be available only on a first-come, first-served basis.  A limited supply of most sizes will be available for purchase in March, but quantities cannot be guaranteed unless reserved before we place the order with our supplier.

T-shirts will be available for pickup prior to the parade for those wishing to have their shirts in advance (please indicate preference on the order form).
